Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani has been elected as the new President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). The decision was announced in an official statement released after a two-day executive meeting held in Mhow, Indore. The position has been vacant since April, after the passing of the former President, Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadwi.
According to the statement, Maulana Fazlur Raheem Mujaddidi was also appointed as the new General Secretary of AIMPLB. He will replace the Board’s previous General Secretary, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani.
The AIMPLB is a non-governmental organization that was formed in 1973 to protect and promote the rights of Muslims in India.
