A newly-married couple in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich was found dead on their wedding night. The post-mortem report revealed that both 24-year-old Pratap Yadav and his 22-year-old wife, Pushpa Yadav, died of cardiac arrest. The couple went to sleep in their room, which lacked ventilation and air circulation due to the absence of a ceiling fan, and were found dead the next day. There were no signs of forced entry or injury marks on their bodies. The SP of Bahraich ruled out any criminal angle, and their families have not yet filed any complaints. The viscera of both bodies have been preserved for further examination at the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Lucknow. The couple was cremated on the same pyre in the village.
