BJP government criticized for downgrading J&K to a Union Territory: Harsh’s statement

The National Panthers Party (NPP) organized a rally in Sudh Mahadev, drawing attention to the neglect suffered by common people at the hands of an apathetic administration. The rally addressed several issues faced by locals, including the impact of J&K’s re-organization into two Union Territories. Harsh Dev Singh, former minister and NPP president, accused the BJP regime of humiliating Dogras by demoting J&K to a UT, which adversely impacted the region’s economy and development. He also alleged deep-rooted corruption in the UT and called for vigilante organizations to keep a close watch on various departments. Singh also called for the development of tourism potential and immediate release of compensation to farmers whose land and structures were acquired for construction. The rally highlighted the need for the concerned authorities to address power and drinking water crises in rural areas. The NPP’s call for action is a response to the government’s lackadaisical approach to addressing the basic problems faced by the locals, who have been suffering due to the neglect of their concerns.
