Amid the rise of cybercrimes across India, Nigerian nationals and Chinese gangs in Chhattisgarh are reportedly deceiving innocent people with promises of lucrative job offers and profits through cryptocurrency investments. According to police officer AIG Kavi Gupta, fraudsters use foreign mobile numbers to impersonate foreign nationals and con people into performing easy tasks online while extorting money from them. Gupta also warned against investing in cryptocurrencies, citing the high risks and technical knowledge required. He urged people not to fall into the trap of those offering higher returns through such investments.
