Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has embarked on a three-day visit to Namibia, marking the first-ever by an Indian minister to the country. Jaishankar will be meeting with the top leadership in the country and other ministers, as well as co-chairing the inaugural session of the joint commission meeting alongside Namibian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. The visit follows Jaishankar’s attendance at the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in South Africa. The Indian diaspora in Namibia will also have an opportunity to interact with the minister during his visit.
