Air Security and Logistics Workers in Nigeria Strike Over Poor Wages
In a bid to address their long-standing grievances regarding poor wages, workers in the air security and logistics sector in Nigeria have commenced an immediate strike. The National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) has issued a directive instructing Aviation Security (AVSEC) and logistics sub-sector employees to withdraw their services until their demands are met.

The striking workers have addressed their concerns to key stakeholders in the aviation industry, including the Director-General Civil Aviation (DGCA), Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Commissioner of Police at the Airports Command, Airport Commandant, and Director of the Department of State Security (DSS) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.
