For the second time in just one month, an incident of theft has taken place at the high-security Vindhyachal Bhawan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This time, the culprits stole the AC aluminium wires from a government office housed within the building. Valued at approximately fifty thousand rupees, the theft was reported to the Arera Hills police station, who have registered an FIR and are now searching for the thieves. CCTV footage from the area is also being reviewed to identify the culprits.
According to the police, repair work is currently underway in the building, leading to increased movement of laborers. It was during this time that the thieves struck, cutting the valuable wire. This latest incident has renewed concerns about the safety of the area, which was previously viewed as a very secure location. Vindhyachal Bhawan is sandwiched between the Mantralaya and Satpura Bhawan, but the recent thefts have proven that the area is no longer immune to criminal attacks.
Residents of the area are understandably concerned, having already suffered through numerous other incidents of theft, including car thefts. The latest incident involving the valuable AC wires being cut further reinforces the perception that the area is not as secure as it once was. The police are working hard to identify and arrest the culprits, with Si Sanjeev Dhakad calling for swift justice. It is hoped that the thieves will be caught soon, restoring the security of the area and reassuring the people of Bhopal.
