As Rajasthan approaches crucial assembly polls, the ruling Congress party is determined to hold onto power by presenting a united front, despite simmering tensions within the party. Meanwhile, the BJP is fighting on issues like corruption, rising crime rates, and high unemployment in the state. Despite Prime Minister Modi’s eight visits to the state and his scathing attacks on the Congress party, the latter remains confident that it can buck the trend of alternating power with the BJP.
The Congress is relying on its social security schemes, such as OPS, Chiranjeevi, Mehangai Rahat Camp, and RGHS. The company that created strategies for Congress in Karnataka is guiding the Rajasthan Congress. Social security schemes, like free power for residents and gas cylinders for BPL families registered with the Ujjawala scheme, have made the Congress confident of retaining Rajasthan.
In contrast, the residents of Rajasthan are reportedly fed up with the BJP due to rising crime rates, high unemployment, and corruption. The BJP is fighting hard but has failed to convince the people of Rajasthan with their propaganda. Despite Modi’s visits and false assurances, the Congress believes that its record of good governance and guaranteed rights for people will secure its power in the upcoming elections.
According to PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, No matter how many visits the Prime Minister makes, no matter how many false assurances he makes, and no matter how many fake announcements he makes, he cannot break the historic works of the Congress government in Rajasthan. The Congress is confident that no matter how hard the BJP tries, their social security schemes will trump the opposition’s propaganda.
