Lisa Vanderpump’s legendary restaurant Pump has found a new home in West Hollywood, right next to Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s bar TomTom. After closing its doors in July due to skyrocketing rent prices, the unexpected appearance of signage for Pump in its new location sent Bravo fans into a frenzy.
Fans of Pump will be delighted to know that the restaurant will continue serving its famous Pumptinis and specialty cocktails, including the Pump And Glory. The new location is just three doors down from the original Pump, making it easily accessible for loyal patrons.
In May, Vanderpump took to social media to announce the closure of Pump, expressing her sadness over the expiring lease and the astronomical rent increase imposed by the landlords. The sources close to Lisa and her husband revealed that the yearly rent would reach nearly $1 million, a figure they deemed excessive and unsustainable.
This isn’t the first time Vanderpump has had to deal with rent hikes affecting her restaurants. Villa Blanca, located in Beverly Hills, was closed in 2020 due to a similar rent increase. However, the landlord has yet to find a new tenant for the vacant location.
Despite the closure of Pump, Vanderpump still has a presence in the LA restaurant scene with Sur and TomTom. The couple is also planning to open at least two more restaurants in Las Vegas with Caesars Entertainment in the coming year.
Pump remained open until June to support the local community during Pride Month, which holds significant importance in West Hollywood, known for its LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
In March, Pump faced another setback when its liquor license was suspended along with TomTom’s. However, TomTom regained its license just two days later.
Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd expressed their gratitude for the past decade of support from their staff and patrons and look forward to welcoming everyone to TomTom and Sur in the coming months.
Overall, it’s an exciting new chapter for Pump as it finds a new home next to TomTom in West Hollywood, ensuring the continuation of its beloved drinks and ambiance. Bravo fans will undoubtedly flock to the new location to experience the Pump magic once again.
