US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius will be visiting New Delhi soon for bilateral talks with India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. During these talks, they will discuss a range of defence cooperation issues, including industrial cooperation.
Rajnath Singh will meet with Austin on June 5, while Pistorius will meet him on June 6. The discussions are expected to focus on industrial cooperation and other bilateral defence cooperation issues.
Austin will arrive in India on June 4 for a two-day visit, marking his second trip to the country this year. Meanwhile, Pistorius will arrive on June 5 for a four-day visit, during which he will attend an event organized by Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) and is expected to visit headquarters of the Western Naval Command and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai on June 7.
The visit is a continuation of India’s strategic outreach to key defence partners, highlighting India’s Defence Ministry’s focus on enhancing security and defence cooperation with other countries.
