The DRG team of District Police Sukma was sent to the village Maraiguda, Regragatta area under Thana Bheji and Errabor on the information about the presence of Naxal commander Mangadu, Vetti Bhima, and other Naxalites. During the operation, the Naxalites ambushed and fired at the police party, leading to retaliation by the jawans, which ultimately led to the Naxalites’ retreat. The conflict remains ongoing, and the area has been cordoned off, while a search operation has been launched. More details are expected to arrive.
