Uttrakhand CM expresses anguish over Odisha train accident

The recent train accident in Odisha that involved two express trains and a goods train has left 238 people dead, according to South Eastern Railway. The tragedy has prompted Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to express his condolences, offering prayers for the victims’ families. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with railway officials to evaluate the situation. The accident occurred around 7pm on Friday, resulting in many of the trains’ coaches derailing and hitting one another. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw oversaw the rescue operation, while also launching an inquiry into the incident. Finally, the railway ministry has stated its priority for rescuing and aiding victims before beginning restoration.
