The Janta Dal (U) party’s minister and leader of their Jharkhand unit, Asok Choudhary, recently stated that the meeting in Patna on June 12th is the first step towards opposition unity before the next general elections. This move, spearheaded by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has gained positive responses from those involved. The Janta Dal (U) party is currently taking measures to revive itself in Jharkhand before the next assembly election by 2024-end. The party currently has no MLAs in the state, but they aim to revitalize themselves and regain their previous strength. Sagar Kumar, a party spokesperson, mentioned that the party is looking to expand its base in other states such as Uttar Pradesh to become a national party.
