AIIMS and GGSIPU have joined forces to introduce an innovative Grievance Redressal System aimed at revolutionizing patient care. This strategic collaboration between the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and patient satisfaction within the healthcare domain.
The collaboration’s centerpiece is the Patient Grievance Redressal System, a pioneering project designed to comprehensively address patient concerns and feedback. What sets this initiative apart is that it is the first of its kind, demonstrating a groundbreaking approach to patient care. Moreover, the development of the program is entirely cost-free for AIIMS, as the students and faculty of GGSIPU’s USAR & USDI have volunteered their expertise and time.
The initial implementation of the Patient Grievance Redressal System will take place in the Mother and Child Block of AIIMS. Subsequent phases will see the system extended to other departments, blocks, and centers within the institution. This visionary project has the potential to save crores of rupees for AIIMS, leveraging the commitment and expertise of GGSIPU’s faculty and students.
The Patient Grievance Redressal System covers various services related to patient treatment, clinical practice, nursing care, welfare schemes, sanitation, security, infrastructure, and facilities management. By integrating these aspects into a unified system, AIIMS and GGSIPU strive to improve care standards, governance, and transparency in healthcare delivery.
Prof. Dr. M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, reiterated the commitment to patient-centric healthcare and the goal of setting a new benchmark for patient care and satisfaction through this landmark partnership. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between AIIMS New Delhi and GGSIPU’s USAR & USDI formalized the collaboration, highlighting both institutions’ commitment to driving positive change in the public healthcare sector.
Prof. Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of GGSIP University, emphasized the power of academia to effect positive change and expressed pride in contributing to AIIMS’ mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.
This collaboration between AIIMS and GGSIPU holds great promise for transforming patient care through an innovative Grievance Redressal System. By harnessing the expertise and dedication of students and faculty, this partnership aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and patient satisfaction in the healthcare domain. With the implementation of this pioneering system, AIIMS sets out to establish new standards for care and governance in the medical field.
