A Delhi court has approved a supplementary charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. The case was transferred to the Special MP-MLA Court for trial and the hearing has been fixed for June 8. Tytler was named in the charge sheet based on fresh evidence against him, and is accused of inciting violence in the Pul Bangash area of Delhi, resulting in the deaths of three people. The CBI registered the case in November 2005, after a government-appointed commission called for an investigation into incidents of anti-Sikh riots.
