Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese ambassador to India, was recently spotted exploring Mumbai like a local. He took a ride on a local train and even posted a photo of himself standing at the train’s gate. Suzuki also took a trip to a local market, where he looked at white shirts that were priced at Rs 100 each. He captioned the photo on social media saying, What a bargain! Should I buy?
Earlier this year, in April, Suzuki met with the US ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, to discuss the future cooperation between both nations with India, including the Quad and G20. The two ambassadors seemed excited to work together closely in Delhi.
Suzuki’s visit to Mumbai shows his genuine interest in Indian culture and his willingness to embrace it. Some locals even expressed their happiness upon seeing the Japanese ambassador commuting through Mumbai’s busy streets. His efforts certainly show the importance of maintaining strong relationships between nations.
