Punjabi University, Patiala and Maharshi Dayanand University were victorious in the hockey titles at the 3rd Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2022. In the men’s field hockey title, Punjabi University beat Guru Nanak Dev University on penalties after the teams were tied at three goals each after regulation time. Maharshi Dayanand University defeated ITM, Gwalior 2-0 to claim the women’s title. Pragati of Guru Kashi University won two gold medals in the Compound Archery category while fencing team events are set to start on Friday. Badminton finalists were identified and Yogasana competitions got underway with the first medals awarded to RTM Nagpur University for the Traditional Yogasana Team event.
