Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of India’s Congress party, recently held a janta darbar at the party headquarters to connect with the party leaders and workers. During the event, Kharge met with party workers and leaders from different parts of the country and even with those who did not have an appointment with him. He emphasized that the Congress party is essential to the country’s strength and that its hardworking workers are their power. Kharge also mentioned that he got a sense of the people’s mood through their free-wheeling discussions and intends to keep on meeting with them like this in the future. This is the fourth time that Kharge has met party workers at the party headquarters in his office since taking over as the new party chief in October 2020.
