Heatwave expected to continue in multiple districts of Bengal until June 7: IMD

Several districts of West Bengal, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience a heatwave until June 7, according to a warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday. The IMD stated that meteorological conditions suggest that a heatwave and discomforting hot weather will prevail in districts such as West Burdwan, South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, Purulia, Malda, and North and South Dinajpur. Additionally, between June 2 to 7, heatwave conditions will also be felt in Bankura, Birbhum, Jhargram, Murshidabad, and Nadia, among other districts mentioned earlier. Those living in these districts may experience a humid climate. People are advised to take precautions to remain safe during this heatwave.
