Government Transfers Nine Officers of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS)

In a move that aims to improve the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, nine Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers have been transferred to different roles. The General Administration Department, in an order issued by Amit Vermani, Additional Secretary to the Government, announced the changes on Wednesday. The transfers include the appointment of Vikas Dhar Bagati, JKAS, as Personnel Officer in the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, whilst Umesh Sharma, JKAS, will become Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bhawan, Katra, taking over from Sudhir Bali, JKAS. Sunaina Saini, JKAS, will become Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ghagwal, and Seema Parihar, JKAS, will become Sub-Divisional Magistrate, R.S. Pura. Shafiq Ahmad, JKAS, will become Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Thanamandi. Finally, Tariq Ahmad Malik, JKAS, will become Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khansahib, whilst Nagesh Singh, JKAS, has been posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jammu (North), against an available vacancy.
