TVS Motor Company Ltd, the manufacturer of two and three-wheeler vehicles, has increased the price of its electric two-wheeler models by Rs 17,000 to Rs 22,000 depending on the variant. The price hike on the iQube model is due to the revision of the central government’s FAME-II subsidy scheme. Beginning June 1, this price hike is now effective. The company has acknowledged that it will introduce a loyalty benefit programme for customers who have already booked their iQubes until May 20. This will aid with the cost burden after the changes in FAME-II subsidies. From June 1, new customers can now avail the new prices without having to bear the full burden of FAME-II revisions when booking the vehicle. K.N Radhakrishnan — CEO and Director of TVS Motor Company — further stated that the modifications will be offered until June 30.
