Jamie Joss, the Athletics Director of Florida Tech, has been elected as the chairperson of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee for the 2023 season. Joss, who has been a member of the national committee since September 2022, will lead the eight-person group that represents the four Super Regions of Division II men’s soccer.
Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Joss said, I am humbled and honored to be appointed as the chair of the NCAA D2 Men’s Soccer National Committee. I am committed to leading this esteemed committee with integrity, fairness, and a passion for the sport. Together, we will work diligently to ensure a competitive selection process, uphold the highest standards of the NCAA, and contribute to the growth and success of D2 men’s soccer. I am excited for the opportunity to serve and make a positive impact on the sport at the national level.
Aside from being the national committee chair, Joss will also serve as the chair of the Super Region 2 Regional Advisory Committee, which is responsible for conducting rankings and recommending selections for the NCAA Tournament in the region each fall.
The national committee consists of eight representatives from the four Super Regions of Division II men’s soccer. These representatives play a crucial role in the NCAA Tournament selection process, as well as determining the regional and national rankings throughout the season. They are also responsible for organizing and administering the Division II Men’s Soccer National Championship Tournament.
In addition to his leadership role, Jamie Joss will be joined by six other committee members:

– Dawn Tatro, Assistant AD for Compliance & Academics, Roger State University
– Patrick Long, Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
– Michael Lavato, Director of Athletics, American International College
– Rob Walker, Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Saint Martin’s University
– Amanda Snodgrass, SWA/Assistant Athletic Director, Midwestern State University
Together, they will contribute to the evaluation of teams, potential regional sites, and recommendations for the championship throughout the season.
