Support for Peace Restoration in Manipur Expressed by Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that people in Manipur have strongly supported the government’s efforts to bring back normalcy in the state. Shah recently met with a delegation from the Kuki and other communities in Moreh and discussed the security situation with senior officials. Manipur had been hit by violent clashes between two ethnic groups, leading to significant hardships for local residents. Internet services have been suspended since May 3 after a rally in Churachandpur district which rapidly spread to other areas of the state. Despite the unrest, people in Manipur have expressed their support for efforts to restore peace in the region.
