Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale recently emphasized the significance of ideological opposition without harboring personal hatred. During the inaugural ceremony of Dattaji Didolkar’s birth centenary celebrations in Nagpur, Mr. Hosabale expressed his views on the importance of maintaining cordial relations while upholding one’s ideology.
Dattaji Didolkar, an RSS leader and founder member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), was known for his respectful attitude towards those who held different views. Mr. Hosabale cited Mr. Didolkar as an example of someone who respected others without compromising on his ideology.
According to Mr. Hosabale, opposition to ideology is normal, and there can be dissent. However, he stressed the importance of not harboring personal enmity towards each other in society. He encouraged people to lead a simple life based on principles of humanity and justice.
To further emphasize his point, Mr. Hosabale highlighted the harmonious relations maintained by Dattopant Thengdi, the founder of the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, with several Communist leaders while advocating for labor rights. He underlined that the Sangh teaches discernment and having a broad-minded approach, as opposed to fostering hatred towards one another.
In his speech, Nitin Gadkari, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Union Minister, praised Dattaji Didolkar’s dedication to workers’ rights, referring to him as a guardian for laborers.
