India, Singapore officials discuss boosting ties in education

India’s Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Singapore’s Education Minister, Chan Chun Sing, met on May 31 to discuss ways to expand their existing partnership through institutional mechanisms. They intend to focus particularly on teacher and trainer capacity-building, incorporating future skills into education, and skilling ecosystems. Pradhan visited the Skills Future Singapore initiative, the driving force behind the Singaporean government’s national Skills Future movement, which aims to foster a culture of lifelong learning and promote skills mastery. During his three-day visit, Pradhan met with numerous key ministers, including the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Finance.
