Delhi University is set to release its first list of vacant seats today, providing an opportunity for students who applied but have not yet secured a spot in affiliated colleges. Interested candidates can check the list of vacant seats on the official website, du.ac.in.
The university had previously released the first seat allocation list on August 1, considering 202,416 eligible candidates for allocation based on their preferences of program and college combinations. In the first round, a total of 85,853 allocations were made.
Candidates who accepted their allocated courses and colleges after the first list had until August 6 to make the necessary payments. The university will subsequently release the second allocation list on August 10, giving candidates until August 13 to accept their allotted college and course. The payment deadline for the second round is August 15.
Looking at the data for specific colleges, Maitreyi College received 1,535 applications and accepted 1,431 candidates. Of those, 489 students have completed the required payments. At Aryabhatta College, psychology (H) had the highest allocation with 52 seats, of which 28 students have paid the fees. In economics (H), 32 students have made the payments.
Ramanujan College has accepted 1,335 candidates, with 293 of them having completed the required payments. Ramjas College, on the other hand, has accepted 2,061 candidates, and 550 students have finalized the payment process.
Additionally, Delhi University plans to release yet another list of vacant seats on August 17, followed by the release of the third merit list on August 22.
