Uttar Pradesh Government Honors Sanitation Workers in ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to honor 75 sanitation workers and pay tribute to the heroes of the state as part of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign. This initiative aims to recognize the valuable contribution of sanitation workers and promote cleanliness across the state.

To commemorate Independence Day, a special cleanliness campaign will be conducted, accompanied by a mini marathon for the youth, which will serve as a distinctive aspect of this campaign.

The main program of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign will commence on Revolution Day, which falls on August 9. Representatives and officials connected with the Gram Panchayats and Nagar Panchayats are scheduled to convene and finalize the implementation strategy for this program.

Additionally, a ceremonial pledge will be taken as soil collection is carried out through the Amrit Kalash. Schools and educational institutions will showcase patriotic songs, while local artists will organize cultural events inspired by patriotism and culture.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Yogi government is emphasizing various cleanliness-related events as part of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign.

On August 10, a cleanliness campaign will be held in places that witnessed the freedom struggle and martyrs’ memorials. Moreover, 75 sanitation workers associated with cleanliness will be honored on the evening of Independence Day at the gram panchayat, nagar panchayat, and civic body levels. Simultaneously, a special cleanliness campaign will be organized.

From village panchayats to colleges, the Yogi government plans to organize a series of events to engage people from all walks of life in the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign. Students and teachers will take a pledge and share selfies.

Furthermore, a special march will be organized to honor veterans, while the Mati Art Board will collect and distribute earthen lamps created by local artisans.

The ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign aims to foster a sense of pride and responsibility towards cleanliness and honor the unsung heroes who tirelessly work to keep the state clean. It encourages active participation from citizens of Uttar Pradesh and promotes unity and patriotism.

As the campaign progresses, it will bring together people from diverse backgrounds to contribute to the cleanliness drive, fostering a cleaner and healthier Uttar Pradesh.
