The city of Visakhapatnam (Vizag) in India is preparing to host the International Organic Mahotsav in 2023. The event, organized by the Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RySS), aims to support natural farming practices and connect farmers with consumers both inside and outside the country. The International Organic Mahotsav is an annual celebration of organic farming that promotes sustainable agricultural practices globally. The event provides a platform for farmers, experts, policymakers, and enthusiasts to come together and exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences related to organic farming. An expo featuring booths from domestic and foreign FPOs, agri-preneurs, public and private agri-business organizations, and technology enterprises will showcase organic goods in addition to millet and other farm products from various states. The festival aims to raise awareness about the importance of organic farming in preserving the environment, promoting biodiversity and enhancing the livelihoods of farmers.
