The Delhi Police sources have stated that there is no evidence to prove the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The police have been investigating the matter and will be filing their final report within 15 days. The police have stated that the sections of POCSO added in the FIR carry a maximum sentence of less than seven years, and, therefore, the IO cannot proceed with an arrest. The wrestlers, including Olympic medalists Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat, had accused Singh of sexual harassment and had demanded his arrest.
