Brookwood Panthers Ready for an Exciting 2023 Season Opener
The Brookwood Panthers are gearing up for a thrilling start to their 2023 season. Following an away game against Holt, the Panthers are set to host West Blocton in their state-of-the-art on-campus football stadium. Head coach Mike Bramblett is delighted to see the stadium project progressing according to schedule, with the anticipated completion date in September.
Practice number four saw the Panthers train in shells, and they are set to don full pads for tomorrow’s session. Coach Bramblett, who is entering his fifth season with Brookwood, is optimistic about the team’s chances this year. While the Panthers have yet to secure a spot in the Class 6A playoffs, they have seen their number of wins increase in each of the past three seasons. The team’s growth is expected to continue in 2023.
We have high expectations, Coach Bramblett shared. Our players have been with us for four years, diligently working in the weight room, growing both physically and mentally. They are well-versed in their responsibilities on both offense and defense. There is a strong sense of unity within the team, and we have exceptional leaders across all positions. We truly believe great things are in store for the entire squad.
The Panthers’ 2023 journey commences with an away game against Holt on Friday, August 25. In last season’s opener, Brookwood dominated Holt with a commanding 59-2 victory.
