Pulwama, Aug 03: The Kong Posh Premier League, a local cricket event held in Pulwama, South Kashmir, has garnered attention from players across India, adding allure to the tournament. Organized by Shahid Lala, the tournament has drawn the participation of players from different states, including Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh, making it a truly diverse and captivating series.
Shahid Lala, the tournament organizer, expressed his delight at the response, stating that their initial expectation was for talented teams from Kashmir to participate. However, they were thrilled to witness players from various states joining in. A total of 24 teams from all districts of the Kashmir division are taking part in this series.
One notable team, Western Motors Pulwama, boasts seven players from Bengaluru, Karnataka, while Bright Futures Kulgam has two players from Uttar Pradesh and one from Uttarakhand. The tournament has sparked immense passion and excitement among the players, who are grateful for the support they receive from the organizers.
Interestingly, teams from Jodhpur in Rajasthan also showed interest in participating but were unable to do so due to unforeseen circumstances. Shahid highlighted the significance of this event, mentioning that it is the first time a cricket tournament from Pulwama Tehsil has attracted players from other states.
Shubham, a talented cricketer from Bengaluru participating in the series, expressed his enjoyment of playing in Pulwama, emphasizing the organizers’ role in providing young players with opportunities to showcase their skills. Shubham also commented on the promising local talent and stressed the need for good coaches to help nurture their abilities.
