Scindia also criticized the Congress party for conducting its meetings for the Madhya Pradesh elections in Delhi, implying that the party is disconnected from the locals. Meanwhile, former MP Rahul Gandhi is also optimistic about the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and stated that Congress would win 150 seats in the upcoming polls. However, he refused to comment on the Chief Ministerial candidate for the party in the state. In the last assembly elections, Congress emerged as the majority party with 114 seats, defeating BJP with 109 seats. But in 2020, the Congress government lost its majority when some of its members resigned, leading to BJP forming the government in the state with Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the Chief Minister.
