Bayern Munich is gearing up to make a whopping £85 million bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s star forward, Harry Kane. The German club’s executives, Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe, recently flew to London to hold talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. Although an agreement was not reached, sources indicate that Bayern is preparing a third bid that surpasses the £68 million they paid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019.

It seems Harry Kane is open to a move to Germany, and while Levy initially had a valuation of at least £100 million for his prized asset, reports suggest that an offer in the range of £90 million could tempt him to sell. To entice Kane, Bayern Munich plans to offer the England captain a lucrative four-year contract, allowing him to join Thomas Tuchel’s squad ahead of his first full season in charge.

Upon returning to Munich, Dreesen and Neppe appeared positive following their discussions with Levy. However, Tottenham is already exploring potential replacements for Kane in the event of his departure. Bayern’s Mathys Tel has been mentioned as a possible option, although he is not particularly keen on a move. Another player believed to be under consideration is Gift Orban from Genk.

The situation gets even more interesting as reports claim that if Kane does end up leaving, Tottenham may consider a deal for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson. Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper is reluctant to part ways with Johnson, who also attracts interest from Aston Villa. However, owing to financial fair play regulations, Forest may have to be more realistic about the possibility of a transfer. While Brentford’s offer of £35 million plus add-ons was rejected, it is understood that offers closer to £50 million would warrant serious consideration.

In conclusion, Bayern Munich’s interest in Harry Kane has shaken the transfer market. With the German club ready to break their transfer record, their £85 million bid could tempt Tottenham into parting ways with their star striker. The future remains uncertain, but it seems both parties are engaged in negotiations that could potentially shape the upcoming season. If the transfer does go through, Tottenham will have to act swiftly to secure a suitable replacement, with Mathys Tel and Gift Orban among the names being considered. Additionally, Tottenham’s interest in Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest adds an intriguing twist to the ever-evolving football transfer landscape.
