Six idols at Ujjain’s Mahakal Corridor in Madhya Pradesh were damaged by a heavy storm in the region. Despite the circumstances, the contractor will provide new models as they were still under their five-year guarantee period, said the Madhya Pradesh home minister, Narottam Mishra. Criticism was directed at the Congress party by Mishra, who accused the group of raising predictable social media queries and providing no support during crises. They also accused the previous CM Kamal Nath of not showing up during the pandemic crisis or the flood incident in Mandsaur district. In an unrelated matter, authorities apprehended three individuals working for ISIS: Syed Mamoor Ali, Mohammad Adil Khan, and Mohammed Shahid. Mishra pledged that no individual or group of terror would be allowed to thrive in Madhya Pradesh and that measures would also be directed against organisations like Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Jamaat-e-Mujahideen Bangladesh, and ISIS, among other things.
