AlmaBetter, the edtech upskilling startup backed by Kalaari Capital, has recently announced the launch of AlmaBetter Innovarsity, an autonomous institute that will offer post-graduate courses in data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and software development. The institute has partnered with Woolf, a global collegiate higher education institution based in the US, and will provide a master’s degree in computer science, with specializations in data science and data analytics, AI and machine learning, software engineering, and cloud computing.
The master’s degree programs offered by AlmaBetter Innovarsity will span over a 15-month period and aim to equip around 5,000 learners with a valuable computer science degree by April 2024. With the growing demand for skilled professionals in the tech industry, the institute aims to attract working professionals looking to switch to a tech career, as well as recent graduates seeking opportunities in niche tech roles.
To support its endeavors, AlmaBetter has set aside INR 50 Cr (Indian Rupees) for the institute, with a portion of the funds dedicated to scholarships and enhancing the overall learning experience for students.
