On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to all the people who are appreciating his nine-year journey as the Prime Minister and said that the love and affection he is receiving gives him added strength to work even harder for the people. On the soon-to-be nine year anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Government on May 30, the Prime Minister will lead a month-long rally, titled ‘Thank You India’, through which he will express appreciation to all the citizens.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister expressed his gratefulness for all the appreciation he is receiving since morning, and states that it always humbling to receive such affection. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have also decided to take part in this month-long rally which will commence on May 31 with a special rally led by the Prime Minister in Rajasthan’s Ajmer.
Since coming into power in 2014, Narendra Modi has surprised the world with his swift initiatives in economic development and digital transformation. According to data from 2019, during his tenure as the Prime Minister, India managed to overtake France and becomes the fifth largest economy in the world. Modi has encouraged greater investments, more transparency in financial dealings and established Swachh Bharat Mission in order to improve the sanitation, hygiene, and health of people in India.
Bharatiya Janata Party, founded in 1980, is a national political party known for its right-wing campaigns and outreach initiatives. It is the most dominant party in the National Democratic Alliance, and currently holds a majority in both Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, and Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament. In the 2019 elections, BJP managed to secure as many as 303 seats in the Lok Sabha, a feat that many people attribute largely to the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
