Jamshedpur FC, a professional football club based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, has signed Brazilian player Elson Jose dias Junior, commonly known as Elsinho, for the 2023-24 season. The 32-year-old footballer has joined the team on a one-year contract. Elsinho has made a name for himself in his previous stints at Mexican side FC Juarez and Spanish team Racing Ferrol in La Liga 2.
With 136 appearances and 10 goals for FC Juarez, Elsinho proved his skills and versatility on the field. He later went on a loan to Celaya FC before securing a permanent transfer to Racing Ferrol, where he played in 25 games and scored four goals. Known for his ability to operate as a defensive midfielder or central defender, Elsinho is set to bring a new dimension to the structure of Jamshedpur FC.

Elsinho began his football journey in the lower divisions of Brazilian football, gradually making his way up to the top. He impressed during his debut for Oeste FC, a club based in Sao Paulo, and later sealed a move to FC Juarez in 2016. His time in Mexico helped him develop into a versatile and dependable player.
Head Coach of Jamshedpur FC, Scott Cooper, praised Elsinho’s attributes, saying, Elsinho is a center back and defensive midfield player who has both height and technical ability. He’s very fast for a big guy and has played in Mexico and at various levels in Brazil. We like him because of his pace, technical ability and also because he is a major threat from set pieces, so we feel like he will be a great commodity and bring height to the team.
Jamshedpur FC confirmed that Elsinho will don the number 91 shirt for the upcoming campaign. With his addition to the team, the club aims to strengthen its lineup and compete at the highest level in the upcoming season.
