From Friday onwards, spectators will have the opportunity to witness their favorite players in action. The opening day of the Pro Panja League will boast the presence of esteemed Chief Guest Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of Earth Sciences of India. Rijiju will have the honor of unveiling the Panja table at the venue, marking the beginning of an eventful season.
Featuring six teams and comprising of men’s, women’s, and physically challenged categories across 10 weight divisions, the league aims to showcase the talents of a diverse range of athletes. The participating teams are Mumbai Muscle, Kiraak Hyderabad, Rohtak Rowdies, Ludhiana Lions, Baroda Badshahs, and Kochi KD’s.
During the opening day of the league, fans will witness a thrilling clash between Ludhiana Lions, led by Tawheed Shaikh, and Kiraak Hyderabad, led by Asker Ali. Following this matchup, Mumbai Muscle, led by Harman Mann, will go head-to-head with Baroda Badshahs.

Tawheed Shaikh, captain of Ludhiana Lions competing in the 90kg category, shared his anticipation for the event, saying, I am looking forward to it. Asker Ali, captain of Kiraak Hyderabad competing in the 80kg category, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, I have completed my workouts and recovery sessions. I am excited for the opening day and the opportunity to compete in front of a live audience. This is an incredible platform where players can showcase their skills and techniques on a global level. Our team is well-balanced, and our coach pushes us every day to be aggressive, enabling us to perform to our best abilities.
Meanwhile, Harman Mann, captain of Baroda Badshahs in the 90kg category, discussed the team’s preparation, saying, I am super excited that the day has finally arrived. We have undergone extensive training, and the players are ready to demonstrate their skills to the world. Our squad comprises a mix of youthful talent and experienced players. I have been working on several techniques that will give me an advantage over my opponents.
