Actor Kabir Bedi talked about his style of keeping a beard and the opportunities it opened up to him in a recent interview on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Bedi revealed that his choice to maintain a beard was recommended by director Raj Khosla as part of their work on 1973’s ‘Kuchhe Dhaage’, where Bedi acted alongside Vinod Khanna and Moushumi Chatterjee. On the show, Bedi disclosed how this decision unexpectedly led to him being considered for roles in Italy, leading to him to audition for a role as a pirate fighting for freedom.
As a result of this audition, Bedi has gained significant recognition for his work, appearing in movies such as ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Kamagata Maru’, and ‘Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story’, and acting in a negative role for the 1988 movie ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’. Most recently, Bedi has been seen in the Tamil film ‘Aravaan’, directed by Vasanthabalan. The 77-year-old actor appeared on the show alongside his daughter Pooja Bedi and granddaughter Alaya F.
