Singer Akriti Kakkar recently spoke about her experience of gathering the entire team for her acclaimed music series ‘Big Band Theory’. Along with singer-composer Akriti, the team consists of renowned names like Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Sukriti Kakkar, Prakriti Kakkar, Nirmal Kakkar, Nikita Gandhi, Shashwat, Romy, Siddharth Mahadevan, and Shivam Mahadevan.
The popular show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ recently welcomed this team and the host Kapil delved into Akriti’s journey in creating the ‘Big Band Theory’ and the challenges she encountered. Akriti shared that it was difficult but the goal was to make it happen and gradually the team started to come together. She mentioned that when she initially called Shankar Mahadevan, he sensed her nervousness but yet agreed to be a part of it without questioning what it was about. Moreover, other members of her extended family such as the other Kakkars were also a part of the process and their schedules were juggled to make it work.
Shankar Mahadevan remarked that he has known Akriti since she was in school and has witnessed her growth as an artist. He talked about how she had started as a performer, had become a singer, had moved to composing songs, and had appeared in music videos. He admired her for her success outside of Bollywood and applauded her effort for managing the production and bringing her extended family together for the project.
