Teenage Entrepreneur Builds Successful Business Despite Adversity

At the age of 13, when most kids are busy with school and personal interests, one ambitious teenager from Horsham, West Sussex embarked on a journey that would lead him to become a successful CEO at the age of 19. His name is not widely known yet, but he has already made a significant mark in the business world.

It all started when this determined young entrepreneur set up a makeshift shop in his parent’s garage, selling sweets to his schoolmates. Little did he know that this innocent endeavor would catch the attention of the local council. Someone, possibly envious of his flourishing business, reported him for not paying business rates. It was then that two serious-looking council officials paid him a visit.

Undeterred by their arrival, the savvy 13-year-old knew that his business had potential. Even though he was forced to shut down his garage shop, he had already discovered a passion for entrepreneurship. And so, his journey began.

The teenage CEO credits his entrepreneurial spirit to a box of Cadbury Creme Eggs given to him by his grandmother. Not particularly fond of them, he decided to turn them into profit by selling them. The experience ignited a spark within him, prompting him to search for what he was truly good at.

Unfortunately, his unconventional path did not sit well with the school authorities. He was labeled a rebel and was constantly told that he would never amount to anything but trouble. Despite the school’s disapproval, he continued to pursue his passion and build his business.

Throughout his journey, the young entrepreneur faced numerous challenges and obstacles. One significant life lesson came from observing the acquisition of a family-owned telephone answering service by a larger provider. Witnessing the transformation of a once personal and independent provider into a faceless third-party, he realized the value of a personal touch in business. People needed someone who would treat them like humans, not just another transaction. This insight fueled his determination to provide exceptional customer service in his own endeavors.

Despite facing opposition from his school and encountering skepticism from others, the 19-year-old CEO persevered. He founded Hero PA, a small outsourced call center catering to small and medium businesses. Hero PA fills the gap for companies that can’t afford a full-time receptionist or require overflow support due to high call volumes. The company now serves nearly 50 accounts, ranging from one-man-bands to national corporations, including an internet service provider.

Reflecting on his accomplishments, the young CEO is proud of the business he has built over the past six years. Not only has he created employment opportunities for others, but he has also defied expectations and proven that age is not a determinant of success.

Looking ahead, he continues to seek ways to expand his business empire. Currently, he is collaborating with Roar Media Creative to develop a non-scripted TV series focused on young entrepreneurs overcoming personal challenges to build their own businesses. In addition, he is booked to appear on high-profile business platforms, radio shows, and TV programs. Furthermore, he will soon release his book, titled The Teenage Guide to Exploding a Business, scheduled for publication later this year.

Despite the skeptics and naysayers, this young CEO remains undeterred. He has shown that age is not a barrier to success and that it’s the determination and passion that truly matter. With his sights set on achieving even greater heights, he serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs, proving that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
