The alert predicts moderate to heavy showers throughout Monday. In the island city, as well as the eastern and western suburbs, the average rainfall recorded was 58.42 mm, 69.15 mm, and 70.41 mm, respectively, in the 24-hour period ending at 8 am on Monday, according to a civic official.
Throughout the morning, some parts of Mumbai experienced light showers or occasional heavy spells, while other areas remained dry. The fluctuating weather conditions have kept locals on their toes.
