Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for blockbusters like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Chhichhore’, ‘Bawaal’ is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of World War 2. Varun plays a history teacher who takes Janhvi Kapoor’s character on a trip to Europe to visit World War 2 sites. The film was shot in various locations including Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, Warsaw, Lucknow, and two other cities in India. The crew consisted of more than 700 people, including action directors and stuntmen from Germany.
‘Bawaal’ was released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on July 21 and has been receiving positive reviews from viewers.
