WhatsApp Rolls Out Update to Fix Emoji Keyboard Crash on Android Beta

WhatsApp, the messaging platform owned by Meta, has released an update to fix a bug that caused crashes in the emoji keyboard of its Android beta version. Users had reported experiencing crashes while using the emoji keyboard, as well as issues with their avatars, privacy settings, and adding text to images with the drawing editor. The update was automatically installed for many users due to the Google Play Store’s auto-download settings. To resolve the crash issue, users are advised to install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.15.22 update from the Google Play Store.

In addition to addressing the emoji keyboard crash, WhatsApp recently faced a global outage that lasted approximately 20 minutes, affecting users in India and around the world. The outage was attributed to connectivity issues. However, the platform quickly resolved the problem and assured users that they could resume sending and receiving messages.

During the outage, some users expressed concern about missing out on their beloved Good Morning messages. WhatsApp’s reply to one of these comments humorously reassured users that the service was back up and running, emphasizing that they wouldn’t miss out on their morning greetings.

When it comes to user reports, a monitor website called DownDetector recorded over 41,000 complaints during the outage. Of these, 61 percent of users reported problems with sending messages, 35 percent faced issues with the application itself, and 4 percent encountered difficulties while using the website interface.

WhatsApp has experienced occasional outages in the past as well. Just last month, the platform suffered a global outage that lasted for approximately two hours. During this time, users faced difficulties accessing the platform on both mobile and desktop devices, as well as encountering problems sending or downloading media.

With the release of this new bug-fix update, WhatsApp aims to provide a smoother user experience for its Android beta users. The update resolves the emoji keyboard crash issue, ensuring that users can enjoy uninterrupted messaging and communication on the platform.

In conclusion, WhatsApp has taken swift action to address the crash issues affecting the emoji keyboard on its Android beta version. By promptly releasing a bug-fix update, the platform has demonstrated its commitment to providing a reliable and efficient messaging experience for its users. With these improvements, users can now enjoy using the emoji keyboard without experiencing any crashes.
