Rajasthan BJP Demands CM Gehlot’s Resignation After 4 Charred Bodies Found in Jodhpur
In a shocking turn of events, the Jodhpur Police in Rajasthan recovered four charred bodies from a hut in Ramnagar Village, leading the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Chandra Prakash Joshi, the BJP Rajasthan State President, criticized the ruling Congress government and called for Gehlot to step down.
Expressing his outrage, Joshi stated, The incident is shameful, and the Chief Minister should resign from his post. It is particularly distressing that this incident occurred in the Chief Minister’s home district, further highlighting the need for his resignation.
Joshi went on to accuse Gehlot of prioritizing his son’s political career over the welfare of the state, saying, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is busy increasing the glory of his son Vaibhav Gehlot, but the glory of Rajasthan is decreasing.
Highlighting the deterioration of law and order in the state, Joshi claimed that the number of crimes has been steadily rising. He criticized the Congress party for failing to implement the social accountability law promised in their manifesto.
Congress had pledged to pass a social accountability law, but in four and a half years, not even 1 percent accountability has been seen towards the people of Rajasthan, Joshi remarked.
Joshi further accused the Gehlot government of permitting the rally of an organization called PFI in Kota while simultaneously banning Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti processions. He also lamented the agricultural crisis in the state, claiming that farmers are taking their own lives due to mounting debts, despite the Congress party’s unfulfilled assurances.
The state’s crime rate is on the rise, and the Chief Minister must address whether criminals are receiving protection. Rajasthan currently holds the undesirable distinction of being number one in unemployment, corruption, expensive electricity, high fuel prices, and overall poor law and order, Joshi asserted during a press conference.
The charred bodies of four family members were discovered in their home in Cherai Village, Ramnagar Gram Panchayat of Osia area in Jodhpur. According to reports, the family members were murdered before their bodies were set ablaze.
Superintendent of Police, Jodhpur Rural, Dharmendra Yadav, revealed, The Jodhpur police have recovered four burnt bodies from a hut in Ramnagar Village. Further investigation is underway.
Shehzad Poonawala, a national spokesperson for the BJP, also criticized the Gehlot government, highlighting various instances of violence and crime that have plagued Rajasthan recently. Poonawala criticized leaders Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi for their silence on these issues, suggesting that their slogans about women’s empowerment and safety are empty rhetoric.
While the BJP’s demand for Gehlot’s resignation gains traction, the situation in Rajasthan remains tense. The state’s law and order situation has deteriorated significantly, demanding immediate attention and action from the Chief Minister and his government.
