The 4th Energy Transitions Working Group (ETWG) meeting will take place in Goa from Wednesday to Thursday under India’s G20 Presidency. More than 100 delegates from G20 member countries, special invitee countries, and various International Organisations will come together for the two-day meeting.
The previous three meetings of the ETWG were held in Bengaluru, Gandhinagar, and Mumbai. This fourth meeting will be chaired by Pawan Agarwal, who serves as the ETWG Chair and Secretary, Ministry of Power. Other officials such as Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary of the Ministry of Mines, and Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary of the Ministry of Coal, will also participate in the deliberations.
India’s G20 Presidency has outlined six priority areas focused on energy transition and sustainable energy development: addressing technology gaps, low-cost financing, energy security and diversified supply chains, energy efficiency and responsible consumption, fuels for the future, and universal access to clean energy.
