Santa Clara County’s Behavioral Health Navigator Program and the Los Gatos Library have teamed up to provide a valuable resource for residents seeking information about mental health services. Every Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m., a behavioral health navigator will be available at the library to answer questions and help direct individuals to the appropriate public and community-based help. This new service aims to connect people with the resources they need, without requiring an appointment.

The Behavioral Health Navigator Program has been operated by Santa Clara County since July 2022. By partnering with the Los Gatos Library, the program is able to extend its reach and make mental health services more accessible to the community. The library provides a familiar and comfortable environment for individuals seeking assistance, creating a safe space for discussing mental health concerns.

In addition to the mental health services offered at the library, the Los Gatos Community Grant program is accepting applications until July 24 at 5 p.m. Nonprofit organizations that directly impact the local community are eligible to receive grants of up to $12,000. This funding can support various community causes and initiatives.

Another upcoming community event is National Night Out, which will be held on August 1. This annual event encourages neighborhoods to organize local gatherings, fostering connections between residents and local law enforcement. Participating neighborhoods in Los Gatos and Monte Sereno can register online to secure the involvement of the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department.

Furthermore, the Assistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga is seeking new members to join its volunteer organization. The nonprofit raises funds for community causes such as literacy programs and senior care. Interested individuals can attend the Brunch and Bingo event on July 26 to learn more about membership opportunities.

To summarize, the partnership between Santa Clara County’s Behavioral Health Navigator Program and the Los Gatos Library brings mental health services directly to residents every Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Los Gatos Community Grant program offers financial assistance to nonprofits impacting the local community. National Night Out promotes neighborhood engagement with local law enforcement, and the Assistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga invites new members to contribute to their community causes. These initiatives demonstrate the commitment of Los Gatos to the welfare and well-being of its residents.
