Title: CGHS Medical Officer Found Dead in East Delhi Hotel, Revealing Troubled Relationship
A tragic incident unfolded in east Delhi as a young woman took her own life inside a hotel room. The victim, identified as Ashna Beema, was a 28-year-old medical officer working for the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). According to the police, Ashna allegedly ended her life due to distress caused by her family’s disapproval of her relationship with a man.
Ashna had checked into the Holiday Inn located in Mayur Vihar for a one-day stay on July 7. On Saturday, around 3:30 p.m., the hotel staff contacted the Mayur Vihar police station after discovering a woman hanging in her room. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Amrutha Guguloth, stated that the victim had extended her stay on the day of the incident. When the hotel staff contacted her regarding payment at 2:50 p.m., receiving no response, they used a master key to enter the room and tragically found Ashna had taken her own life.
Investigations into the incident unraveled that the deceased had been going through emotional distress caused by her family’s objections to her relationship. Prior to her untimely death, Ashna had left her home without informing anyone. In response, her family filed a missing report at the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station. However, it was only after her tragic demise that her family was informed.
The police authorities confirmed that no suicide note was found, and there were no indications of foul play involved in this heartbreaking incident. The focus of the investigation lies in understanding the emotional turmoil Ashna experienced due to the disapproval from her family and the impact it had on her mental well-being.
