Huawei Cloud has launched its Pangu Models 3.0 and Ascend AI Cloud Services at its Annual Developers Conference in Dongguan, China. The Pangu Models 3.0 aim to build core competitiveness and help operationalize AI for customers, partners, and developers across industries. The Ascend AI Cloud Services offer high-performance computing capabilities, with a single compute cluster providing 2,000 petaFLOPS of compute capacity and the ability to train a multi-billion parameter model for 30 days without interruption. The Pangu Models 3.0 consist of five foundation models: NLP, CV, multimodal, prediction, and scientific computing. These models provide general skills for industry-specific applications and are available in different sizes, ranging from 10 billion parameters to 100 billion parameters, to meet diverse customer needs.
The Pangu Models 3.0 feature capability sets such as knowledge-based Q&A, copywriting, code generation for the NLP model, and image generation and understanding for the multimodal model. These capabilities will be consistent across different model sizes, enabling customers and partners to utilize them effectively.
Huawei Cloud’s Pangu models are designed to address industry-specific needs and have found applications in various sectors such as finance, manufacturing, drug R&D, coal mining, and railway. The Shenzhen Futian district government has collaborated with Huawei Cloud to develop Xiaofu, an intelligent government service assistant powered by the Pangu Government Model. Xiaofu has demonstrated high accuracy and professionalism in assisting government services by understanding user intentions and providing quick solutions.
Huawei Cloud also combines Code Arts with Pangu to create Code Arts Snap, an intelligent programming assistant for developers. Trained with 76 billion lines of quality code and 13 million technical documents, Code Arts Snap makes coding, Q&A, and collaboration smarter, simplifying the development process.
