Kelby Roberts Achieves a Dream Come True as Indiana FFA State President

RUSHVILLE, Ind. – Dreams have become a reality for Kelby Roberts as she fulfills her ambition of becoming Indiana FFA State President. After years of hard work and dedication to the organization, Roberts has been selected to lead the state’s FFA chapter.

Roberts has gained extensive experience serving as an officer at both the local and district levels, and on the Indiana FFA Executive Committee. Now, she is ready to take on the role of state president. When she received the news of her appointment, Roberts couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with emotions. Overcome by joy and gratitude, she dropped to the ground in tears, believing that wearing the blue jacket and representing her chapter as state president was a dream come true.

Looking forward, Roberts is excited about the growth and connection she will experience with the incredible team of state officers she has been elected with. She wants to use her position to empower and inspire FFA members throughout Indiana to develop and grow, just as she has done.

Joining Roberts as the 2023-2024 state officers are Madalyn Denton as State Secretary, Conner Keeslar as Northern Region Vice President, Blaine Wagner as Southern Region Vice President, Caden Sixberry as State Treasurer, Carson Rudd as State Reporter, and Tanner Weakley as State Sentinel. Roberts emphasizes the importance of each team member’s contributions and considers all positions to be equal.

Reflecting on her FFA journey, Roberts remembers her time in the Rushville FFA chapter where she served as Greenhand President, Chapter Reporter, and Chapter President. She also held leadership positions at the district level and became a member of the Indiana FFA Executive Committee. Roberts has always had the desire to wear the iconic FFA blue jacket, and she has worked tirelessly to become the first State President from Rushville.

Roberts expresses her gratitude to her family and mentors who have supported her every step of the way. Their encouragement, advice, and dedication have played a crucial role in her success. She also acknowledges the emotional and challenging process of running for state office, but believes that all the hard work has been worth it.

As Roberts begins her term as Indiana FFA State President, she is eager to connect with FFA members statewide and create memorable experiences filled with fun, fellowship, and excitement. She expresses her commitment to making her home chapter, hometown, and community proud.
